Fire Sale is the debut EP from Boston based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Tiffany Sammy, aka TIFFY. Sammy self-recorded the EP and is the sole writer, composer, producer, and performs on all instruments for each track.  The songs explore themes of introspection in the face of living up to self-imposed expectations versus others’, changing relationships and millennial social unrest.

Fire Sale releases on all digital platforms 5/31 and will be available on cassette through New England art collective and record label, Salty Speakers.

“These songs are a solid representation of the time and place when they were written,” TIFFY explains. A lot of
growth has happened personally and musically since the writing process began, and I’m glad to have captured them when I did. I think if it was any other time, this would be a different-sounding release. The process was a bit unorthodox, but it wouldn’t be me if it wasn’t, and I’m really glad I executed the EP this way. Collaborating with different engineers on the tracks pushed me and the songs in the direction they needed to go. Will Evans (Charlottesville, VA, producer/audio engineer/musician, Stray Fossa), Lucas Paquette (New England audio engineer/musician, The Party Band), and Mike Hlady (Austin, TX audio engineer/musician, Holiday Music) all furthered the uniqueness in each song.
“Initially, I felt these songs were too different from each other to put together on a release, but spending time with them and recognizing, this is just the beginning—it became clear these various themes and contrasting musical ideas all flow together, because at its core it’s all me,” she adds.
