Austin, Texas’s Drip-Fed are back with a brand-new LP! Their new full-length album, Kill the Buzz, is available March 26 through Head2Wall Records (US) and I Corrupt Records (EUR).
This ‘hardcore’ band has made a name for themselves by never hesitating to push beyond the confines of the genre from which they emerged. While undoubtedly intense and punishingly emphatic at times, they are just as comfortable dipping their toes into everything from power-pop to lead-line heavy, guitar-driven rock and roll. They are a punk band that isn’t afraid to play their instruments and a pop band that isn’t afraid to let themselves become completely unhinged.
New Noise Magazine is proud to premiere Kill the Buzz in full below:
Kill the Buzz was recorded in January of 2020 in Austin, TX. The album was produced by Chris Skiles, mixed by Beau Burchell, and mastered by Alan Douches, with artwork and layout provided by Phillip Nichols.
The album finds Drip-Fed pushing themselves and their unique approach even further. It’s everything they have worked so hard to create, but even more of all of it. It is somehow heavier and noisier, but also catchier and more accessible.
Drip-Fed have proven that they are not content with having simultaneously pushed all of the boundaries of punk rock only once.
On their latest album, Drip-Fed states:
“Kill the Buzz is us at our most ferocious and ambitious. It’s a punk record at heart, but it’s diversity and melody cover territory appealing to anyone that just digs rock and roll.”
