Album Premiere: Grey Matter – Climbing Out

Grey Matter’s Climbing Out, out March 13 via Bad Time Records and Choke Artist NJ, is the perfect anthem for leaving the BS behind.

Grey Matter are a noisy, emo-tinged, ska-core band from Lansing, Michigan. With influences ranging from Bomb The Music Industry and the Blue Meanies to La Dispute and Minor Threat, Grey Matter combine funky, jazz-influenced ska riffs with loud, energetic punk rock.
“‘Climbing Out’ is a collaborative effort for us to grow as creative people while simultaneously overcoming mental illness and adversity,” the band says. “There are songs about panic attacks, songs about gender identity, and songs about leaving racist, homophobic, and transphobic friends behind as you grow.”
