Connecticut-based emo rockers Mighty Tortuga are perhaps one of the most prolific bands in the current emo scene, having released four EPs of music since forming in 2018. Now, in fall of 2024, they’re ready to release a self-titled full-length album, which hits the streets via Heading East Records on September 18.
The self-titled LP was produced by Fred Mascherino (Taking Back Sunday/Say Anything) and mixer Stephen Angello and includes the recently released single “Without a Doubt,” which features a guest vocal by Mascherino.
Earlier this year, the band unveiled a lineup shuffle to dual vocalists when guitarist Mike Krische and bassist Kevin Tiernan took over singing duties. The back-and-forth trade-off vocals gives Mighty Tortuga a new-found energy and depth.
