Album Premiere: Perfume USA – Kiss It Goodbye

The middle of the United States is often thought of as desolate middle ground between the two coasts. Yet, as of late, places like Oklahoma City, Louisville and Kansas City have become hubs of creativity spawning new bands and thriving scenes. The latter being home to Perfume USA, a band that has become a staple in their region opening for bands like Candy, Heart Attack Man and Greet Death, each of which Perfume USA somehow fit perfectly on the bill with. From their heavy and punchy riffs, to their pop hooks and droning fuzz scattered throughout their songs, listeners can’t help but get lost in their music, which is sure to resonate with fans of Nothing, Narrow Head, Far, Deftones, and Smashing Pumpkins. Kiss It Goodbye, Perfume USA’s forthcoming three-song 7-inch (May 19 via Setterwind Records), is the perfect introduction to this band’s ’90s grunge and alt rock inspired music.
