Album Premiere: Raised As Wolves – ‘Nervous Feelings’

Australian indie punk band Raised As Wolves are sharing their debut album, Nervous Feelings, and you can stream it in full right here at New Noise.

The band started to accumulate buzz last year and have since garnered consistent radio play on Triple J and local radio, with more than 40,000 streams on Spotify and over 200,000 plays overall.

Their tracks bring a punchy energy with ear-catching melodies and have led to high-level support slots with bands like Hockey Dad, The Living End, Press Club, alongside appearances at Yours & Owls Festival.

“Recorded over three days at Def Wolf Studios at the end of 2019—COVID got in the way, and so we dragged finishing the record out over the whole next year, finishing vocal parts and lead guitars in bits and pieces in studios and bedrooms.

“This record comes from us learning how to play together over the better part of 10 years. There’s not much in the way of lyrical ambiguity; it’s all pretty straight up. The songs are mostly about the frustrating experience of being a young person today, the irony being that none of us are THAT young anymore after the dramas of the last couple of years.”
