Louder Than Hate is a protest movement built on music, art, and collective action. Started in Austin, Texas, by a group of friends who refused to stay quiet while hate got louder, what began as a local response is now a nationwide network of artists raising their voices for LGBTQIA+ rights and grassroots justice. Through benefit shows, limited-edition merch collections, and a compilation series NOW OR NEVER. LOUDER TOGETHER, we raise funds, build community, and amplify the voices that need to be heard.
“After the election, everything felt heavier,” says Louder Than Hate’s Terry Irwin. “We could sense something coming, and we didn’t feel prepared. I didn’t know what to do with the fear and anger, but I knew silence wasn’t an option. My friends and I started talking, then organizing. That’s where Louder Than Hate came from—a decision to fight back with music, with purpose, with volume. And we’re just getting started.”
