Chicago noise-rock band Big’n are sharing their album, Discipline Through Sound 25, and you can stream the entire project right here at New Noise.
The band first formed in 1990, at the time consisting of vocalist William Akins, guitarist Todd Johnson, bassist Mike Chartrand, and drummer Brian Wnukowski.
The LP is an expanded reissue commemorating the 25th anniversary of Big’n’s album, Discipline Through Sound, containing a remastered and resequenced version of the album and supplemented by unreleased demos, outtakes, tracks from a split EP with OXES, a 12-page booklet with never-before-seen photos, a foreword by Steve Albini, writing from Big’n’s associates at the time of the sessions, and more.
The release also comes as a gorgeous double vinyl, housed in eye-catching aluminum foil, heat-sealed packaging. The album was first released by New York City-based conceptual label Computer Students, and now, the LP is finally available through independent distributor Forced Exposure.
