Longtime veterans of the Columbus, Ohio, music scene formed Minnows in early 2020 and started laying the groundwork their debut, Foreign Moon. With influences ranging from indie rock, power pop, and emo to alternative metal and indie folk, Foreign Moon offers a sound that is immediately familiar yet entirely original.
As musician and producer Jon Markson (Drug Church, Such Gold) who mixed the album put it, “Minnows craft nuanced and groove-laden walls of guitars and vocals that evoke the best of the melodic peak of rock in the ‘90s and early aughts.”
