Columbus, Ohio’s Teeth Marks will release their debut full-length, Raise/Wreck/Rebuild/Raze, on Better Days Will Haunt You Records. The LP is due on streaming platforms November 7. Better Days will have vinyl copies available around December due to a delay at pressing. However, the band celebrate with an album release show at Columbus’s venerable Ace of Cups concert venue on November 14. Tickets are available here.
Across a couple years of local shows and regional tours, the Teeth Marks live show has come to showcase a needle-sharp take on loud/soft dynamics offering walls of fuzzy, sludgy sound that reduce to a whisper and a single guitar, then right back again into a full-band onslaught. Word of mouth has made the band a ready choice to support national acts such as Pile, Cloakroom, and Pelican.
Teeth Marks’ Raise/Wreck/Rebuild/Raze LP is filled with weariness of various sorts made palatable by simple evocative arrangements that sometimes build and sometimes erupt into bursts of catharsis. Dynamic guitar work and driving drums are balanced by melodic bass lines and atmospherics from a spaced-out pedal steel. Across eight tracks, the five members of the band (Brandon Woods, drums; Petey Mendenhall, bass; Chris Heidel, pedal steel; Jeremy Ebert, guitar; and Joshua James, guitar/vocals) have crafted a set of songs that pulls from ’90s-era alternative rock, post-hardcore and indie rock, lacing in some moments of doomgaze and gothic Americana for good measure.
Tour plans are in the works on the heels of the record release. Anticipate the band coming to a city near you in 2026.
