Double Video Premiere: Se Vende – ‘Please, Stomp It Out’ & Corrupt Vision – ‘I’m Sorry Anti-Venöm’

Corrupt Vision and Se Vende

Crusty pop-punk outfit Se Vende and self-described “anti-ska” ska-meets-grindcore band Corrupt Vision are teaming up. Both bands known for their sound that combines catchy elements with something harsher and more abrasive; they’re the perfect pair of bands to team up for their new split seven-inch called How Much Trash is Enough?, which was released recently on No Time Records.

Today, the two bands are debuting videos off their new split. First up, Se Vende are debuting their video for the song “Please, Stomp It Out,” a classic pop-punk tune with harsh, hardcore vocals.

“‘Please, Stomp It Out’ is about a love that ran its course and has left a lasting imprint on you and how you’ve held onto it as long as you could until the only thing you could do for yourself is just let go and break free,” explains Se Vende guitarist Collin Smith. “It’s about how those experiences shape us, whether it’s the trauma resulting from such a relationship, the memories, the pain, or the beauty. The significance, good or bad, leaves its prints in our DNA whether we like it or not.

“The idea of the video is something Jon wanted to do for some time,” Smith continues, “which was to basically rip off / pay homage to an old Rancid video. With the help of our friends Andy Loy and Patrick Erhard, as well as J. Strickland, the video came to life. We were kinda pressed for time, so we filmed most of the stuff in the neighborhood where our print shop is and filmed the band shots in my kitchen.”

Next comes Corrupt Vision with their video for ““I’m Sorry Anti-Venöm But I Forgot How to Smile,” a blast of grindcore that is going to wake you up and knock you on your ass.

“‘I’m Sorry Anti-Venöm, But I Forgot How to Smile’ pays tribute to the great one-man solo Mexican crack rock steady new wave act of the same name,” explains Corrupt Vision’s Tommy Smith. “The video consists of footage taken from Charles Bronson movies because powerviolence, of course.”
