Punk band Toxins formed in 2020, but have collectively been active in the San Diego punk scene for years. Now, the band is releasing their new EP, Recovery Room, on October 1, but you can hear it now here at New Noise.
Toxins started playing together in the late summer of 2020, with Sean joining Branson, Gui, Ale, and Matt to complete their lineup. Early on, they knew they wanted to play songs they loved and that inspired them when they were young, with their own energy and fire.
Every member has dabbled in their fair share of genres, but they all feel most at home with melodic, aggressive punk.
The new, four-song EP shows the band’s progress, produced by the band with the recording process led by bassist Ale. The mix and master was by Brazilian producer Alexandre Capilé.
