Album Premiere: Laps Around the Sun – ‘The Younger Dryas Cosmic Impact Hypothesis’

Laps Around The Sun are very happy to present their latest record, The Younger Dryas Cosmic Impact Hypothesis.

“Laps Around The Sun has been developing during the last decade following the migration of Leonardo Perez from Caracas to London and eventually to Moscow,” the band say. “LATS is a musical force that journeys the listener to peaceful and dense moments that are created within a stream of rock, atmospheric, ambient, electronic, and latino-grounded beats/sounds/melodies.”

Their latest album, The Younger Dryas Cosmic Impact Hypothesis is a musical meditation on the anthropological consequences of the scientific theory which gives name to the LP (Also known as The Clovis Comet Theory). This theory states that 12800 years ago, a Comet Collision ended abruptly the last Ice Age bringing about the catastrophic meltdown of the Laurentide Ice sheet in North America, exerting profound changes in our collective history that we are only starting to understand only in recent years.
