Matt Cohen, a.k.a. matty co., grew up in Orange County with a brief stint in Hawaii. His father, who tragically passed away when Matty was only 2 years old, was part of Disney’s first digital animation team, leading to a life surrounded by the wonder of Disney animation. He and his sister we’re then raised by their mother, a longtime school teacher, who gave him a love and support that’s now reflected in his music. His unique musical cocktail fuses elements of indie-pop, neo-soul, and R&B, offering up rock rhythms supported by infectious pop melodies.
Today he’s debuting his latest single “LIFEHASBEENALOTLATELY,” a soulful indie-pop number with deep, satisfying melodies over a smooth pop delivery. Check out the single below.
