After dropping their debut album The Possibility & The Promise in 2005 on Hopeless Records, Amber Pacific became one of those bands who were synonymous with the 2000s pop-punk scene. Now, almost two decades later, the Seattle-based pop-punkers have sold over 200,000 albums worldwide and have amassed 10s of millions of streams on music platforms.
Today, Amber Pacific are debuting their first new single in over three years, “Young and Reckless,” marking their debut on their new label home Manic Kat Records. “We’re beyond thrilled to finally share our first single, ‘Young and Reckless,'” explains vocalist and guitarist Will Nutter. “This is a new chapter for AP, and we feel like we’re on the edge of something incredible after spending months in Nashville with Sean Rogers and his team. Signing with Manic Kat Records has opened up so many possibilities, and the future feels wide open with potential. We’re excited to see where this journey takes us, and we’re so grateful for the continued support from all of our fans around the world over the last 20 years. This is just the start, and there’s so much more to come.”
With a bouncy rhythm and snottily-sung, hook-laden choruses, everything about this song—right down to the cover art—is a tribute to the heydey of Warped Tour-era pop-punk. Check out the single below.
