Brain Cave are a Cleveland, Ohio-based post-hardcore band with a brutal, noisy assault combined with the power of classic hardcore punk, and they’ve been destroying hearts and blowing minds since the release of their first demo back in 2018. They’ve got a brand new album coming out in January of 2024 called Foot Off the Gas on Head2Wall Records, and it promises to be a powerful, chaotic endeavor.
Today, we are proud to debut the first single off the upcoming album called “Midnight Push.” “The track was inspired by a drawing I did a while ago and I expanded on it subconsciously,” says Mike, the band’s guitarist and vocalist. “There’s a bit of lack of sleep and social anxiety, and not feeling like you’re getting ahead, mixed in there.”
The band’s drummer, Matt, expands on that a little bit, saying: “I consider this track a standout on the new record. Throughout our shared musical evolution, we’ve crafted a unique sound palette and this song encapsulates a lot of those elements. Mike’s vocal performance truly elevates it. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and I’m stoked to see how this energy will translate during our live performances.”
