Austin, Texas post-hardcore outfit Die Mart are following in the footsteps of Austin’s 80s punk heroes like The Big Boys, The Dicks, and Scratch Acid while also pulling influence from modern hardcore like IDLES to create their own brand of inclusive, hook-heavy punk.
The band pride themselves on their music being “for all oppressed and marginalized peoples” and “not for abusers, racists, or homophobic individuals.” They recently put out an EP with the succinct title EP, and they’re following it up with a sequel called EP2 in December.
Today, they’re debuting the latest single off of EP2 called “Even When It Hurts.” Check out the single below.
You can preorder EP2 on Bandcamp. Follow Die Mart on Instagram for future updates.
