Italian black/death metal band Fierce are sharing this new single “The Black Empire,” which is the follow-up to their latest album Eclipses from the Duat. The song is their first music in four years. The song is described by the band as “a claustrophobic, black-influenced death metal concentrate from a very difficult and turbulent period for both the band and the world at large.”

“‘The Black Empire’ is a child of the last convulsive years. It represents an extreme summary of what has been and what could have been. The lyrics of the song can be understood both on an intimate personal and collective level and are meant to channel the emotions and feelings that accompany those moments when nothing makes sense anymore and all would be said to be lost.”
