Northern, Ohio’s Flourish have been making a name for themselves with a bizarre yet compelling mix of styles including post-punk, post-metal, post-rock, shoegaze, and sludge. This band are post-everything. Their new album Deepest Wellsprings of Being is coming out on September 27 on Lost Future Records.
Today, they’re debuting a new single off the upcoming album called “The Towpath.” With a shoegaze wall of sound and a post-rock delicacy to the vocals, it descends into abrasive, sludgy metal that’s absolutely destructive. It then fades out like a the air clearing after an explosion. Check out the track below.
