Bay-area progressive rock act Grayceon are sharing “Holding Lines,” a track from their upcoming sixth album Then The Darkness, which will be released on July 25 through Translation Loss Records.
Listen to the track here:
Vocalist Jackie Perez Gratz shares her thoughts:
“Holding Lines was written in reaction to the Uvalde tragedy — it’s about the fear, overwhelming grief, and helplessness so many of us parents feel in the face of school shootings in this country. This song is about trying to hold on when everything feels broken.”
Drummer Zack Farwell also says:
“I’m saddened and tired of seeing children forced to be the adults in the room because they can’t count on ‘grown-ups’ to keep them free from peril in places that are supposed to be safe for them.”
