New Jersey’s Hundreds of AU formed in 2017 as a sort of low-key supergroup from members of You and I, The Assistant, and Hell Mary. Meeting at a collision of hardcore and post-hardcore, Hundreds of AU are gaining momentum with their twisted guitar riffs and emotionally resonant screamo vocals. The band recently announced their upcoming fourth album Life in Parallel, which is due out August 22 on Iodine Recordings and debuts vocalist Brian (Lesser Minds) and bassist Buzz (Pellinore/The Banner), who add a whole new dimension to an established sound.
Today the band are debuting their latest single off the album called “Endless Beige,” an emotionally intense track full of lurching post-hardcore rhythms, gurgling bass lines, a jangly guitar, and a screaming vocal performance that is poignant and vital. Hundreds of AU demonstrate themselves as seasoned artists with skill and passion in equal measure.
“Taking influence from bands like 400 Years and Policy of Three,” explain the band about the track, “‘Endless Beige’ leans heavy on guitar strumming dynamics and off kilter chord progressions to weave a monologue about drowning in the depraved malaise of modern life and the erosion of our forward projection by the greed we refuse to confront with any real authority or worry of the relics we will leave behind.”

Again, Life in Parallel is out on August 22 and you can pre-order it here. Follow Hundreds of AU on Facebook and Instagram for future updates.
