Track Premiere: Hypnogator – ‘Little Jonny’

South East London-based psych rockers Hypnogator give us a heavy, hard-rocking style with psychedelic, prog-rock undertones. They’ve been making a name for themselves in the London scene by filling big-name venues like Camden Assembly and O2 Academy Islington.

Today, the band are debuting their latest track, “Little Jonny.” “This song’s a story about a time in Amsterdam that the band were being led on a bar crawl by a ‘professional party-goer’ called Jonny,” explain the band. “He continually lied, tried to cheat us out of money, tried to scam us, and kept trying to strip off in public, then when we wanted to leave he followed us begging us not to leave a bad review. He was 5’ 2”—We all know a Little Jonny.”

With deep groove and wild riffs alongside a truly dynamic, engaging vocal performance, this is a heavy-hitter of a psychedelic rock tune. It has an almost classic ’90s hard rock vibe to it that melds perfectly with the mind-bending guitar solo towards the end of the song. Check out the track below.
