Track Premiere: Kit Major – ‘Teenage Wannabe’

Kit Major

Glitter-punk force of nature Kit Major is blazing a trail for herself with her powerhouse live performances that blend post-punk with the shimmer of Britpop and the gritty, raw realness of garage rock, earning her features in PAPER, Alternative Press, Post-Punk, Wonderland, Flaunt, Under The Radar and more, and key placements on Spotify editorial playlists including Fresh Finds and New Rock. Today, she debuts her latest track, “Teenage Wannabe,” a day before its debut on streaming—a song full of punk fury and sparkling showmanship that coalesces into a bright and shiny punk explosion.

“‘Teenage Wannabe’ is an anthem that channels campy B-horror and sci-fi films,” says Major. “It’s both a confession and a critique—an observation of how easy it is to lose yourself when everything feels manufactured, and a reminder that identity can’t be pinned down.”
