Ninties Floridian death metal band Know Death are sharing their new track “Ashes To Dust,” a jaw-smashing number fused with manic riffs.

The trio is comprised of bassist and vocalist Joe Prewitt, guitarist Barry Burgan, and the late and great Doug Withrow on drums. The band released a demo Buried Alive in 1993, which contained only fan-favorite numbers. The Embalmer Records have reissued the demo with all four songs included and an additional unreleased show titled “Pick Your Knows” from 1992. The name comes from the concept that the band would record the songs which the crowd votes for.
Guitarist Barry Burgan shares his thoughts:
“I would like to say that we are very excited that our music will be out to a larger and more accessible audience. It’s satisfying to know that it can hopefully achieve what we strived for back then, and can still be enjoyed by others in today’s world.”
Bassist/vocalist Joe Prewitt adds:
“Though I am still making new metal music, Know Death was a very special time for me. Great friends and great players! I just wish Doug was there to see this. I hope people will like what we did.”
