San Antonio, Texas-based Like Ghosts—made up of Gage Rodriguez (vocals), Noel Hernandez (guitar), Andrew Saenz (guitar), Tyler Slatton (bass)—have been building a reputation, racking up over 5 million streams on Spotify with their potent form of melodic post-hardcore, as well as making an appearance at Vans Warped Tour and supporting Sleeping With Sirens, Crown The Empire, and Rain City Drive. Back in June, they celebrated their signing to Manic Kat Records with their single “Better Now,” and now they’re bookending the summer with the release of “Wish You the Best.”
The band premiere the new single “Wish You the Best” today, a tender, emotional tune with powerful, cathartic vocals and an irresistible melody. “‘Wish You the Best’ is about reaching that moment in a breakup where the anger and heaviness finally fall away, and all that’s left is acceptance—You walk away, no hard feelings, and you genuinely wish the other person the best,” says Alexander about the track. “Musically, it’s my ongoing experiment of blending future bass textures with the heart of emo and pop-punk, and it feels like one of our strongest steps in that direction. This song has really connected with people, and I can’t wait to bring it to life on the Wish You the Best Tour.”
