Track Premiere: MEGG – ‘The End’

MEGG

Combining her love of both pop music and punk and backing it up with her training from USC’s Popular Music Performance Program in the Thornton School of Music, Los Angeles born and raised alternative artist MEGG is making music for the misfits and outcasts of the world. Having shared stages with everyone from The Used to KISS, and even having appeared on NBC’s The Voice, MEGG is blazing her own path as she builds a name for herself. She was recently announced to be playing the much talked about return of the Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach this summer, which takes place on July 26 and 27.

Today, MEGG is debuting her new track “The End” a day before it hits streaming. It’s a delightful, hook-laden, guitar-driven pop-punk track that perfectly marries catchy music with dark lyrics in a way reminiscent of the best pop-rockers of the ’90s. “We wrote The End about some mental shit I was going through,” explains MEGG. “This song is about the battle between two versions of myself in my head: the fun, happy, stops and smells the flowers kind of girl and this other crazy bitch who tries to tear everything apart. I wanted the music to feel unhinged yet familiar, something to scream and thrash along to, as I imagine we’ve all felt this way in some capacity. I’m stoked on this one.”

MEGG is also sharing a behind the scenes video for those who want to know more about the making of the track. Check that out below.
