Cleveland, Ohio’s MK ULTRAS are roaring out of the pandemic landscape with a fiery energy. The self-described Clevo-punk trio is made up of Emmett (vocals/drums), Dillon (vocals/guitar), and Billmike: (vocals/bass/organ) and they are a force to be reckoned with. After making waves with their Secret Tape which serves as a preview of their upcoming debut LP, the trio is gearing up for the release of that self-titled debut on September 13 from Big Neck Records.
Today, they’re debuting their latest single off the upcoming album called “License to Steal.” With it’s big, dirty, sexy bass line and a mean saxophone solo descending into cacophonous chaos, it’s sleezy rock in the best way possible.
“License to Steal is a noir thriller about living on the outskirts,” explains drummer and vocalist Emmett O’Connor. “Sinister rhythms and dark shadowy figures in tales of mischief and aggression abound. Sax is provided by Torben Wesche (Weird Omen, King Khan and the Shrines).”
