Track Premiere: Original Sharks – ‘Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?’

Original Sharks are sharing their new track “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?” and you can check it out right here at New Noise.

The band share their thoughts:

“This new record is a big step forward for us, especially with Matt (Covey) on drums. He just adds so much energy and adhesion to our sound, it’s unreal.

“We also really never explored how we’d pull off a cover or what the vibe would be until we landed on Cowboys. It’s just this incredibly iconic, but somewhat forgotten ’90’s pop song that we didn’t think anyone would expect. We love how it came out.”

Original Sharks kick off their upcoming record by bringing their signature mix of airtight riffs and hyper-concentrated pop-punk to a ’90’s pop radio hit with their cover of “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?” Featuring members of Such Gold and The Swellers, the band pulls Paula Cole’s iconic challenge to gender roles into the pit with pummeling drums and anthemic gang vocals.

Produced and engineered by Jon Markson (Drug Church, Soul Blind, Stay Inside), the track is the first single from Original Sharks’ upcoming 2023 release, Style.
