Track Premiere: PIMMER – ‘The Doomsday Clock’

PIMMER

Boston-based indie rock band PIMMER are back! You might remember that PIMMER released their debut LP, Halcyon 303, on Mint 400 Records in July of last year, and we were even privileged to premiere the video for their single “Distant Dam.” Now they’re back with their sophomore album, I Wish I Could Care, which is due out soon and is once again on Mint 400. The new record promises to be a shift to shorter, faster songs, with nearly all of the 14 tracks on the album clocking in at less than two minutes and thirty seconds.

Today, they’re debuting the first single off I Wish I Could Care called “The Doomsday Clock.” With its Beatles-esque melodies, “The Doomsday Clock” is a song that has moments of foreboding but tempers them with pop elements to create something that flirts with darkness but doesn’t get bogged down in it. It’s a slick pop track that will linger with you after the last note plays. Check the track out below.
