Worst Enemy Records announces the upcoming split EP, Long, Distant Letter, featuring Resignation from Toledo, Ohio, and Family Medicine from St. Louis, Missouri. Scheduled for release on March 29, this collaborative project brings heavy ’90s emo and hardcore influences that are nostalgic, sincere, and a hell of a lot of fun.
A single from each band hits streaming platforms on March 1. Resignation’s single, “I’ll Remember That,” explores the complexities of love and gratitude, while Family Medicine’s “Problem Child, But with Pizzazz” offers a reflective perspective on personal identity. Listen to the tracks below.
“’I’ll Remember That’ is a love song,” Resignation’s Wes Allen says. “People are complicated, life is messy and painful. If you have someone who loves you enough to be honest with you, even if you don’t want to hear what they’re telling you, you’re fortunate. I wanted to show gratitude for having that.”

“’Problem Child, But with Pizazz,’ is song about realizing how tired you are of being the party guy. But, you are the party guy, on the stoop,” says Jon of Family Medicine.
In addition to the digital release, the EP will be available for pre-order on limited edition cassette starting March 1 alongside the singles from both bands. Catch both bands playing throughout the Midwest in 2024.
