Sunburster are a sludgy rock act that has been lurking around Philadelphia for over a decade now. Fans of Eyehategod and Melvins have surely taken notice of the band, who delivers equal doses of punishing heaviness and fluid grooves.
Sunburster double down on their sound with its first official full-length LP, No Semblance of Peaceful Existence, a 10-part deep dive into the murkiest of trenches. The band are as dark, filthy, and depressing as ever while delivering riff after riff of bluesy NOLA-inspired sludge, strangled vocals and no sense of hope whatsoever in its message.
