Electro-noir duo The Shops—made up of the enigmatic figures of Mr. and Mrs. Shops—hail in equal parts from Gabriola Island in British Columbia and the streets of London in the U.K. The result is a unique brew of darkwave, trip-hop, and ASMR-indie style that creates something mesmerizing and primal at the same time.
Today, they’re premiering their latest track, “Tomorrow,” the second single and title-track from the band’s forthcoming album, a uniquely angular song full of haunting melodies and a hypnotic back beat that combine to create a pulsing, mysterious track cloaked in darkness.
