Track Premiere: Thetan – ‘Fuck You Up And Get High’

Nashville powerviolence duo Thetan are sharing their new track “Fuck You Up And Get High,” which is a cover of Dwarves’ track. The duo are preparing for the release of their Dim Times EP through Anti-Corporate Music, and the track is an early taste of what you can expect to arrive.

Dan Emery shares his thoughts:

“This was just a fun one that we started playing a few years ago. Both Chad and myself are huge Dwarves fans, as some of you may have picked up on from Blag’s presence on our Kool Keith collab. This song is also just hilarious for us to play because it’s not like we are living wild ass lifestyles anymore. I mean, I’ll still fuck you up, but only if I reeeeeallly have to. And then still, I probably won’t get high after. Probably.”

According to the press release:

While THETAN is currently putting the final touches on their new LP for release later this year, the band presents a succinct new EP, Dim Times. Collecting several new and previously unreleased tracks, re-recorded songs, covers of The Dwarves and Wipers, and more, the EP drops six tracks in under ten minutes. Additionally, an expansive CD version of the record features over forty bonus tracks, including nearly all the band’s vinyl-only split and compilation tracks, demos, and more, all remixed and remastered for this release. Bassist/vocalist Dan Emery handled all engineering, mixing, and mastering duties at his Anti-Corporate Music/Black Matter Mastering headquarters in Nashville, and the Dim Times cover art was handled by Ericka Poore.
