Founded in 2017 by multidisciplinary artist Julie Congo, Brooklyn-based noise rock outfiWeegee have been electrifying the local New York music scene. Joined by Adam Kastin on guitar, drummer Michael Rekevics, and live members Sam Bennett on bass and Greg Vegas on saxophone, the band have been recording music for the past seven years, culminating in their debut LP Primitive Thrill coming out on October 31 from Dot Dash Sounds.
Today, they’re debuting the newest track off their upcoming album called “Spellbound.” This track is a beautiful cacophony of noise with an almost sludgy rhythm and vestiges of melody that come together to make something truly powerful. Think Pussy Galore but with more technical skill. Check out the track below.
