As with most things this year, there isn’t going to be anything special or exciting about Christmas. The sentiment in Basic Bitches’ tune “I Hope Your Holidays Are Fine” says it best.
Check out this grungey, rock ‘n’ roll infused punk holiday anthem by the New Yorker duo Naomi and Krystal, aka Basic Bitches.

The track was written last year, but seen as this year is even more of a shit show, it’s even more relevant.
The band say:
2020 is almost over … and honestly, it can’t end soon enough. But, let’s be honest, 2019 wasn’t that great either. So, last year, we wrote a song about the general sense of dread and disappointment that accompanies the holiday season once you reach adulthood, when the most you can hope for are big leftovers and small hangovers. How could we have known that ‘I Hope Your Holidays Are Fine’ would hit even harder in 2020.
All profits from this song will be donated to whyhunger.org, and you can purchase greetings cards inspired by the track here.
