Chicago punk band Lollygagger return with their new track “Dopamine Loops,” a follow up to their previously released single “Found in the Dirt.”
Listen to the track here:
The band share their thoughts:
“Dopamine Loops is ultimately a song about the currency of happiness. Today’s world is one where you can bank a nearly unlimited amount of dopamine from artificial or saccharine sources, and this song explores the relationship between your own will and the sisyphean loops of empty pleasure that can bring a person low.
The artwork was a collaboration between the band and ex- Nickolodean storyboard artist Greg Gaw. We wanted something to highlight the cartoonish villany of vape pens, casual substance abuse and achievement unlocks… we’d rather laugh into the abyss than cry, so why not make it goofy?”
