Los Angeles-based and raised multi-instrumentalist singer and songwriter, Sharif Dumani, has a storied history of starting in punk bands in the late-90s. He currently fronts guitar-pop group Exploding Flowers and plays guitar for the legendary punk artist Alice Bag. Now he’s going to kick off his solo career, and what a way to kick it off.
Today, we’re spotlighting Dumani’s latest single, “Tight Lipped,” off his upcoming debut solo album In Search of Memory, which is due out August 15 from Broken Clover Records. The new album features guest appearances including Kevin Rutmanis (Melvins, Cows), Imaad Wasif, Stephen McBean(Black Mountain), Zander Schloss (Circle Jerks) and more.
With a distinct punk background and soaring pop melodies, “Tight Lipped” is guitar-based pop music at its finest and promises a wonderful outing in his upcoming solo album. Check out the track below.
