Today, Dallas-based post-industrial noise rock band All Clean share the music video for its song “See What I’ve Done.” The song appears on their self-released debut album Down from the Inner Work.
Conceptualized in 2018 as a solo project by multi-instrumentalist Zachary Edwards (Oil Boom, Son of Stan), All Clean is a musical exploration of anxiety through dissonant guitar hooks, eerie synth melodies, grimy bass lines, and aggressive backbeat rhythms. Down from the Inner Work was recorded and mixed by Alex Bhore (This Will Destroy You, Power Trip) at Elmwood Studio in Dallas, Texas. It was mastered by Dave Cooley (Deafheaven, Madvillain) at Elysian Masters in Los Angeles, California, and released on August 30 of 2023.
Directed by experimental design artist Colton Batts, the video is inspired by Italian giallo horror films, such as Dario Argento’s Suspiria and the works of David Lynch. Playing on thematic tropes of stylized slasher and supernatural horror, Batts creates menacing yet captivating vignettes that elicit a primal fear of an ambiguous nature, leading the viewer on a trip through a deadly mystery unsolved.
Edwards will be joined by Charli Mireles (Sub-Sahara) on guitar and synthesizer, bassist Miguel Santana, and drummer Cole Austin, to perform a headlining set celebrating the video release at Doublewide in Dallas, Texas, on August 24.
