Sludgy shoegaze band Another Heaven released their marvelous record III: The Sorrowful Cries of Birds with Singed Feathers a year and a half ago.
The record is the result of the combined talents of all the members, who also contributed the lyrics almost equally. The band are currently working with Jetsam-Flotsam Records to release the CD of the album. This time, Another Heaven are sharing their song “Afire,” which is accompanied with a brilliant video.

Ali Jaafar, guitarist and vocalist, shares a brief statement:
“III was definitely our 2020 album—where we tried to capture all the chaos of that year—and I think that ‘Afire’ kinda encapsulates the album in miniature, swinging from extreme aggression to desperate pleading to resigned sadness. We tried to mirror this in the video, which contrasts colorful hand-drawn animations with nighttime footage of us fucking around in the woods. Also you can see, my PT Cruiser in there, which is very important to us.”
