Based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, indie-pop/soul artist Casii Stephan is here to show off her stunning voice. Born in Minnesota, the vocalist moved to Tulsa in 2014 with the intention of giving up music, but by 2016, she found she couldn’t resist her passion and was back at it. That was probably for the best because, since then, she’s toured extensively, been featured in official SXSW and Folk Alliance showcases, been profiled on platforms such as Billboard, NPR, SPIN, and American Songwriter, and so much more.
Today, we’re debuting her latest soulful single “King in America,” featuring a guest appearance from Damion Shade. With a sound that balances a sultry vocal performance with a steady, marching beat, “King in America” delivers on being a defiant political anthem full of fire and fury.
