Video Premiere: Cathedral Ceilings – ‘Every Summer’s Eve’

Cathedral Ceilings are sharing their newest track and video, “Every Summer’s Eve,” and you can check it out premiering right here at New Noise.

The band formed at the end of 2018 after beginning in fits and starts, with plenty of half-written, or even fully forgotten, songs in their catalog when they finally became a true band and began releasing material.

“Every Summer’s Eve” comes ahead of the band’s new album, Summer of Misguided Dynamite, which is set for release on May 27 through Dromedary Records. Cathedral Ceilings describe the process of making the album, with Ralphie riffing at random, Tommy and Nicky following behind, and all members emerging with a spontaneous melody, chorus, and eventually a song. They repeated that process until they had a collection of tracks for the new project, priding themselves on their ability to collaborate and create music in the moment.

Cathedral Ceilings’ Ralphie Malanga provides more insight on the inspiration behind the new track:

“Did you ever go to the airport to pick up a lost bag?  It’s a small room with suitcases and luggage piled up to the ceiling.  Well, in one corner of my brain, (yes, my brain has corners) is a whole bunch of baggage. Some of it is lost.  Most of it is just being ignored.”

The band also have a number of upcoming tour dates. Check those out below:

May 26: Cleveland, OH – Happy Dog
May 27: Detroit, MI – PJ’s Lager House
May 28: Cincinnati, OH – The Comet
May 29: Pittsburgh, PA – The Government Center
