Metalcore quintet Die Another Day are sharing their new video and track “Isolation,” from their upcoming sophomore EP, FIction, out June 24. Take a look right here at New Noise.
Die Another Day were founded in the spring of 2019, taking in a variety of influences and exciting fans with their fusion of a number of different genres. Their debut EP, Wild Fire, came out on April 10, 2020, ushering Die Another Day into the scene. Shortly after, fans were able to witness Die Another Day’s high-energy stage show, which regularly has people up off their feet and moving to the beat. The band are already known for giving their all during their live sets and ensuring they’re having a good time, along with every other person in the room.
The new track, “Isolation,” feels aligned with Avenged Sevenfold’s more emo side, a blistering display underpinned by a punk bassline, with somber lyrics about grief at the forefront while still elevating a positive outlook.
“We wanted to approach this subject matter from a different angle,” says vocalist Jared Boyd. “The song finishes with a note that feels like best friends excited for the next time they will see each other, no matter how long away that may be.”
The video mirrors the lyrics, showing one of the members going through a period of isolation, despite being surrounded by friends and family.
