Maastricht, Netherlands-based hardcore street punk crew Downshot will be releasing a new album titled Endgame on March 17 via WTF Records. The new album will mark the band’s first proper release since returning from a nearly 20-year hiatus.
Formed in 1995, Downshot were a part of the M-Town Rebels hardcore scene. They existed for nine years until they unofficially disbanded in 2004. However, they made the decision to reunite during the pandemic. Now the band are revealing “Unleashed,” their first single in nearly two decades.
On the new track, the band come out swinging full force with a hastened, high-speed attack, coming together for some classic gang vocals in the chorus. Towards the end of the track, Downshot develops a nice melody through the guitar leads, which adds a good contrast to the band’s more aggressive-forward sound.
