Video Premiere: Empired – ‘Money’

Empired

Founded in 2023 on the back of the effortless chemistry between Jai Hansel (Bass, Vocals), Danny Baeza (Drums), and Bruce Zebal (Guitar, Vocals), the band didn’t take long to establish a reputation in the scene, especially following the release of their debut album Finding Calm in the Chaos in 2024.

Today, we’re debuting the video for their new single “Money,” the band’s debut on HEY!FEVER Records. With slick hooks and shout-along choruses, “Money” demonstrates all the qualities that make pop-punk such an enduring genre. Add in the capitalism-skewering video filmed and directed by Josh Roush (who we’ve interviewed before) and you’ve got one hell of a fun video. The video even features a few blink-and-you’ll-miss-them cameos from some big name punk stars.

“‘Money’ pulses with righteous anger, critiquing the struggles of navigating a capitalist society, as the song explores the difficulty of finding work-life balance amid stagnant wages and shrinking workers’ rights,” says guitarist Cam Mosavian. “An anthemic indictment wrapped in a beautiful melody. It’s hard to find peace when the rent keeps rising.”
