Spurred by lead songwriter Jeff Riddle and his penchant for maximalist punk rock songs amidst classic pop-punk structures, Philadelphia punks Five Hundred Bucks are excited to announce the release of their sophomore album Pest Sounds, which will be released on April 25 as a collaboration between the band’s own Pest Sounds label and Creep Records. Today, we’re debuting the video for the single “Southern Accidents” off the new album. The slow, melodic punk song is contrasted by the demented music video that sees a man getting a gun from the tooth fairy and going on a bizarre crime spree that somehow ends in self-immolation. It makes for a truly dark take on the song that enhances an already really fun track. Check out the video below.
