Video Premiere: Goldstate – ‘Love Bomb’ feat. WALWIN

Goldstate

UK punk band Goldstate has a modern pop-punk energy that meets classic pop-punk melodies of the early 2000s with notes of Blink-182 and Sum 41 ringing out through their music. Ben (Vocals), James (Guitar), Jez (Guitar), and Amy (Drums) are all seasoned veterans, meaning that this new band is hardly full of amateurs. Aside from that, vocalist Ben runs BSB TV (https://bloodsweatandbeers.tv/), an online platform that amplifies alternative music.

Today, Goldstate are debuting their video for their new single “Love Bomb,” which features a guest appearance from emo singer WALWIN. The Blink elements really come through, particularly from the height of Blink-182’s popularity, especially in the classic Blink-style “nah nah nahs.” But don’t expect this to be a rip off, because it’s still infused with a very modern style that’s entirely Goldstate.

“‘Love Bomb’ encapsulates the experience of being in love,” explains Ben, “the highs, the lows, and everything in between. It’s an emotion that resonates with everyone. The music video was an enjoyable project to work on; we conceptualized it as if a news station were reporting on ‘Love Bomb’ as a contagious phenomenon affecting everyone.”

The single hits streaming tomorrow from Punkerton Records and you can pre-save it here. Follow Goldstate on Facebook and Instagram for future updates.
