Halfway to Neptune are a young, teenage band that ares already taking off with their distinctive pop-punk style with energetic, rebellious energy. Only two years since forming the band, they’ve already released their debut EP On These Walls.
Today, they’re debuting the video for their new single “Watch Me Burn.” The song is a pop-punk classic that backs an emotional punch that bands twice their age can’t always deliver. The nostalgic video is assembled of footage from their live performances, mixed with candid footage of the band just being themselves. It’s an intimate glimpse at a band who are clearly having a lot of fun.
“‘Watch Me Burn’ is about moving on from people who have hurt you and realizing you are so much more than their words,” explain the band about the single. “We wanted to make a video that shows different sides of the band, including some behind the scenes practices, songwriting, and hanging out. We have all been friends for a while (the drummer and bassist since kindergarten), so we wanted to highlight some of those connections.”
