Heavy Halo are sharing their new song “Die Cast Down,” which features Shannon Funchess from the dark synth-pop project Light Asylum.

Heavy Halo’s McKeever shares his thoughts:
“The title ‘Die Cast Down” references the Julius Caesar quote about going into war, past the point of no return, crossing the rubicon. The song is about all the sacrifices you make for your artistic, political, or moral convictions. There is a palpable sense of vertigo and isolation that comes with pushing beyond the pale for your ideals. But pure necessity and the deep satisfaction of integrity within your soul charge you forward, eyes fixated on the horizon … We were honored to work with the epic Shannon Funchess from Light Asylum on this track which she absolutely tore up. We hit it off after playing with Light Asylum at Elsewhere in Brooklyn and decided to tour together and collaborate on the track.”
Heavy Halo are made up of vocalist/guitarist McKeever and producer Gosteffects. The duo are influenced by artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, and Health. They are to release their new album, Damaged Dream on July 25 through Silent Pendulum Records.
