Detroit night-rock quartet Kind Beast are sharing their new song and music video “Down For Life,” from their upcoming album Familiars From Another Life.

Singer/guitarist Sean Madigan Hoen shares his thoughts:
“Songs have been a guide all the way through life. I admire my friends who’ve stayed true to the punk or metal tribe of their youth, but Dan and I always bonded over a pretty broad record collection and the croony, offbeat dark-pop that KIND BEAST gets into just really sounds like the right accompaniment through the strangeness and mystery of my current station in life. Our bassist, Sean Bondareff, plays with Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, so he’s like a soul-rock anchor and our guitarist Martin Rodgers has jazz training and reads classical scores for fun; they don’t come from that old scene Dan and I knew, and that makes it exciting. Our music seems to pretty much arise out of thin air and it feels right… it means a lot to me.”
Kind Beast was founded by singer/guitarist/writer Sean Madigan Hoen and drummer Dan Jaquint after they came back to Michigan after their stints in New York. The band are looking forward to releasing their next full-length release, which is their third album, Familiars From Another Life.
