Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s Love Ethic are a post-hardcore powerhouse, who have been making a name for themselves with powerful live performances playing with a diverse list of big names including The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Jon Spencer + The Hitmakers, Ed fROMOHIO (of fIREHOSE), Sponge, Prize Horse, The Schizophonics, and Beechwood.
This month, Love Ethic are releasing two new singles this month that will appear on a seven-inch vinyl on their own Pre-Socratic Records, and we’re debuting the first of those singles “The Mind is Cleansed Through the Mouth.” It shows off the post-hardcore fury and artistic expression of classic Fugazi combined with the wry sardonic honesty of Devo to create a complex art-punk number that’s as smart as it is fun. The art house music video is full of vivid imagery, but always keeps its tongue planted firmly in its own cheek, never taking itself too seriously. Check out the video below.
